		Beijing Hospital is a very prestigious hospital in China that serves some of the country's top leaders including the Chairman and Prime Minister. The hospital has been recognized for contributions made in healthcare, education and research as well as for their high standards of care. Because the hospital has such high visibility, they are very focused on maintaining a state of the art facility with the most advanced medical equipment and communications technologies. In 2006, Beijing Hospital chose to replace their existing Nortel communications system with an Avaya solution that includes Avaya Communication Manager running on an Avaya S8700 Media Server and Avaya G650 Media Gateways. Today, they have about 4000 Avaya Analog Telephones and 50 Avaya 4602 Series IP Telephones. They have integrated Avaya Extension to Cellular with their internal PHS system that supports their mobile nurses and doctors. With this integration, their desktop phone and PHS handset can ring simultaneously for easy access. In addition, they have 50 associates using Avaya IP Softphone with the Polycom Video application. The new Avaya solution has allowed Beijing Hospital to improve the mobility solution they offer to nurses and doctors and have helped them to work more efficiently. The improved efficiencies have led to an enhanced customer experience.
